One day after Jayda went down for a nap I started painting my toenails so of course Kallie asked me to paint hers too. She picked out an emerald green polish and I painted her fingers AND toes until they looked perfect. Then I realized she was about to take a nap. I figured I'd help her into the top bunk and then she'd be fine as long as her blanket didn't cover her toes. She got halfway up the ladder and said, "Mommy, I don't want nail polish anymore. Can you take it off?" I said, "No, Mommy just spent a lot of time painting your nails so you don't get to take it off that soon." She spent half her quiet time crying and throwing a tantrum in her room. After I went in and finally convinced her to stop crying she spent the rest of it picking off her nail polish.

Our video baby monitor stopped working and it took me a couple months to get around to finding the receipt and all the product info in order to get it fixed. I realized later it broke RIGHT before the one year warranty expired. Then no one answered the customer service phone number. Then they took a month to reply to my email. No worries; I worked my magic and they replaced our entire system with a brand new one.
We had the sister missionaries over for dinner and at the last minute I remembered a couple of them are allergic to gluten (we have 3 sets of sisters in our ward) so I was trying to think of a gluten-free dessert. I ended up going with something super simple and old-school: rice crispy treats with a chocolate/peanut butter topping. I knew we had marshmallows in the cupboard so I just had to pick up the cereal. We made the dessert, ate dinner and then Brad grabbed a piece because he had to leave early for a meeting. On his way out he looked at me from across the table, pointed to the dessert and shook his head while making the "slit throat" gesture. We discovered the rice crispy treats were hard as a rock. Literally, enough to break your teeth. That night I learned marshmallows (even unopened!) go stale rather quickly.

23 weeks
I read this comedic article about having a third baby and one of the differences pointed out was how one will look pregnant as she walks out of the bedroom. I am totally feeling like that this time around. Way bigger, way sooner. (This was in August so as you read this I'm actually 28 weeks...and pretty much look full term).
While shopping I texted Brad asking if he had bathed the kids. He replied with this picture captioned, "Nope. Too busy rockin out".
Finally checked out The Landing after living in Jax for 3 years. Meh. It was ok. The girls probably had the time of their lives with full sized ice cream cones though.

First item on the agenda following the wedding was a visit to Bar J Chuckwagon with the McGary clan. Beautiful drive to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, lots of fun stuff for the kids to do while waiting for the main event. It was dinner and basically a quartet of cowboys/comedians putting on a western music show. Lots of singing, playing instruments, and telling jokes. I actually love that kind of music. I missed it. What a fun night.
Kallie wanted to be with Grandma McGary the entire time. Even when Grandma and Grandpa were standing in the reception line with Kyle and Juliann, Kallie kept cutting in line to tell Grandma her every move and stay by her side.

We stayed with Brad's brother Trent in Rigby. It was so fun to spend more time with his family than usual (we normally stay with Brad's parents in Rexburg) and the kids loved stayed with their cousins. The rest of the fam came over for fun and games:

If you didn't see this video on Facebook, I made Jayda skip her nap the day before our trip to Idaho because we had a really early flight so I wanted to put the kids to bed early. This is no-nap Jayda by 4:30pm. I did put her to bed right after recording this. And both kids still slept 12 hours that night. In fact we still had to wake them up at 5am:
