Juicy June

Relaxing after camping at Disney with popcorn and a movie

One night we made pot stickers and ended up with twice as much filling than wraps so I saved the leftover filling, thinking I could fry it up with some eggs or something. I tried this a couple mornings later and it was one fat, disgusting mistake. As soon as I took it out of the fridge it smelled WEIRD but I had heard cabbage can smell weird so I figured I just needed to cook it. It took forever to fry because I couldn't tell if the pork was cooked all the way. It never stopped smelling nasty. I fed it to the kids and they were actually okay with it but I wanted to gag after a few bites so I threw everything away. Ugh.

Speaking of food mishaps, my brother and his wife brought over shrimp tempura sushi one night and Jayda LOVED it. She ate at least four rolls and would have gone for more but I didn't want her to eat all their food so I filled her up the rest of the way with leftover mac n' cheese. The next morning I went to wake her up and there was puke in her crib. She didn't cry when it happened so she slept with it all night and I didn't even find out until morning! It looked exactly like sushi and nothing else. I thought that was odd because the last thing she ate was mac n' cheese but there was no sign of that. I rinsed her bedding in the tub before throwing it in the washer and then realized the bathtub drain was clogged. Our drain cover is that annoying kind that requires pliers to twist off. Brad had taken his toolbox to scout camp for a week. My sweet sister-in-law loaned me her pliers and saved the day.

While Brad was at camp I took the kids to Costco and we ate dinner there. At the table next to us was a grandma with her 10 year old grandson and 3 year old granddaughter. The little girl was super dirty, her hair looked liked she had been electrocuted, her shirt was on backwards so her nipples were showing and she wanted to talk to Kallie the whole time. At one point she told me, "That's my grandma. She didn't get me a puppy for my birthday. My grandma...well she's kind of a jerk." I was like, *gasp*! The whole time I was trying to ignore her or hurry the kids up so we could leave and get away from them.

Kallie spent most of this meal eating with her right hand and holding my finger with her left.

For the past couple weeks we've been praying for Grandma to recover from surgery and for my brother-in-law to find a good job. This prayer went like this as Daddy helped Kallie:
Daddy: Please bless Grandma to recover from surgery.
K: Please help Grandma to find a good job.

Sick and cranky (but cuddly!) Jayda
The time three people at Costco asked if they're twins

This is apparently Kallie walking

Brad's birthday dinner at Cheesecake Factory
Don't worry, we got actual cheesecake too.

Best picture I could get of Kallie giving her first talk in primary. She did great!

Chick-fil-a had some "Pirate and Princess" themed shindig with vendors and giveaways and such. Luckily we had two princess dresses that fit them both right now (Thanks Teri Looper for the basket of dress up stuff!)

A little demonstration from My Gym

Jayda's hand looks HUGE here

Leaving for scout camp

And just so you know:
Princess #3 will join our family in December!
