This month my birthday fell on a Joy School day (and three days before Easter) so when I picked up Kallie at school my friends/moms/teachers celebrated with lunch and an Easter birthday cake!
Brad got me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers. I love these colors.
We dropped off the girls with a sitter and tried this restaurant that's only open for lunch. We waited in line for an hour and a half. It actually didn't seem like it because the people next to us were pleasantly chatty. By the time we reached the front, we were running late for our movie so we got our food to-go and ate in the car. And it was still TOTALLY worth it. I can't wait to go back and actually sit in to eat. This place was amazing. It's not very often I feel that way about any food besides breakfast or dessert food. Basically anything non-sugar.
After the movie we hit up some rock climbing. I've done this like twice in my life and it's been forever. I was absolutely fabulous on the beginner walls alongside the 8 year olds.

At Taylor's 4 month check up she hadn't gained as much weight as usual (?!) so her doctor recommend starting her on rice cereal, because she's obviously starving. I made it thin enough to feed her in a bottle and she instantly changed for the better. Napping well, waking up happy. Oddly after one week she wanted nothing more to do with this little supplement. Went back to just breastfeeding but continued to be a happy sleepy baby. Growth spurt I guess?
She also started taking a binky. I think she hated it for awhile because she was actually hungry so it just made her mad. When she finally had a full belly at sleep time she embraced it. I'm not thrilled with this sleep prop addiction because of the whole "going back in the room to get the binky every time it falls out until baby keeps it long enough to fall asleep" thing,
buuut after the ride we've been on since Taylor was born I don't care one bit right now. I'll worry about breaking that habit later.
Wow. I still can't believe I have 3 kids.
Puzzles!
Someone's already big enough for the light stroller!
Every time I get my hair professionally colored I remember how MUCH hair I have. It's not the thickest hair in the world but there's enough strands back there that the stylist had to go back and refill the bowl of color so. many. times.
Who knew Obama and Pineapple were alike?
This is a "mean man that came to church with a gun and a naked belly". Seriously, where do kids come up with this stuff?? Well kid, he does look mean.
*swoon*
Brad's oldest nephew Porter got his mission call. Brad obviously guessed Bolivia because that's where the best of them go but I guessed Brazil and I was right! Porter is going to Brazil Sao Paulo Interlagos mission! (He lives in Arkansas so obviously had a giant family Skype to see him open his call).
We must take our children at least once while we live in Florida, right?
We would have loved to only take Kallie but we have no grandparents in town, breastfeeding baby, blah blah blah.
So we took ALL our littles! It was magical, incredibly exhausting and everything in between.
I am a little kid that still loves cotton candy and Dippin Dots. I get it them every time I'm at a fair or theme park.

Okay you guys. I have three kids. I have finally come to realize my body seriously does need at least a good eight hours of sleep at night. Even though Taylor has been out of my body for four months I am constantly surprised at how exhausted I am. Or how many headaches I get. There's so many projects to get done or errands to run but I procrastinate all the time simply because I don't feel good. Lately I have three or four days of feeling utterly spent at all times and then one day of feeling normal. Right now "normal" feels AMAZING. I'm reminded how great life can be and how much I can get done with energy.
With that said, after two long days of walking in the hot sun at Disney combined with Taylor waking up every two hours at night we needed a day of rest. Took the kids to the pool and hung around the condo all day. I think our entire family actually managed a nap in unison that day. We returned to Disney the next day for one last visit.

At Joy School when my friend Robin was teaching she asked the kids to write their names. Kallie wrote the left one first so Robin asked if she might be dyslexic. I asked Kallie to write her name again and she wrote the one on the right.
