The Makeover
Her middle name is actually spelled "Kess". She's named after my Grandma, Clarice Wolhart but everyone called her Kess.
Waiting for big sis to go potty at Sam's Club
Kallie did great getting a haircut. Jayda refused to let anyone touch her hair because she was scared and thought it would hurt. So Jayda still has very long hair that gets really really tangly and she screams bloody murder every time I brush it.
Well...I tried making chicken broth from a leftover rotisserie. It tasted like dirty dishwater. I did put vegetables in it but I suppose it wasn't enough.
I sold our toy bin shelf and Taylor was a very good model. I was sad to see it go because it's cute and still in really good condition. I love it in theory. But in reality all the toys get dumped out at one time and kids don't organize toys so I went another direction with toy organization.
In our house Frosty the Snowman is the song that never ends. Both these videos went on for another couple minutes.
We went to a David Archuleta/Nathan Pachaeo Christmas concert and dinner at BYU-Idaho.
The dinner and the music were so good!
Kallie brought this home from school and even though it got a little beat up before I was able to take a picture of it, I just love Kallie's smile.
Morgan and me
We both went to the Christmas concert but she and Justin had better seats because he works on campus. We both decided to go to the bathroom while we waited for the concert to start so it was perfect time to grab a picture
This babe picked all the chocolate chips out of her pancake.
FINALLY got Kallie's school picture. Turned out pretty great, huh?
Kallie's To-Do list?
Happy 2nd birthday to Taylor!
Putting on birthday tattoos Taylor got from her auntie Hayley
And from her other auntie...whose name I shall not say 😄😄
When the kids started bickering Morgan pulled out the camera for selfies. The kids loved that!
Shenanigans with the Maughans. Evie is hiding somewhere in there. That makes 6 kids between our two families.
This would be the littlest munchkin with the camera.
We have quite the pick-pocket in our family
Happy 8th Anniversary to us!
We left the kids with friends and had an anniversary getaway in Idaho Falls. We ate dinner at The Sandpiper restaurant (never been there) and stayed at a hotel.
I ventured out of my comfort zone of salmon or steak and ordered the rack of lamb with mint pesto sauce and mint jelly. I'd never tried lamb and was kinda nervous about all that mint in something other than a chocolately dessert but it was AMAZING. Oh my goodness, the lamb had this perfect crispy burnt crust that I can still taste when I think about it.
The nativity at Grandpa & Grandma's house
A shepherd and a king
The angels
The shepherds
We call this the Daddy Express
Went to a live nativity on Christmas Eve
Later that night after the kids went to bed, Taylor woke up and puked about five different times. So the next day the kids opened their stockings and then Brad took the older girls to church while I stayed home with Taylor.
I love how excited they get about toothbrushes!
Last year at Christmas Brad gave me a photo book of that year. I had no idea he was doing that, it was a huge surprise. He made one again this year and it was a surprise again because I thought it was a one time thing. Those kind of projects take a lot of time and effort so this has been so special to me.
I also love my new pot! We had a lot of leftover Christmas ham so for my pot's first adventure I made split pea and ham soup. And it was delicious.
My next adventure will be this artisan bread recipe that is SOOOO tasty. It's a horrible one because I get addicted and can eat a whole loaf in one day.
Making forts
Our good friends gave us a Christmas gift.
Part of it had jewelry for all the girls
so we had to model it:

Took the kids to the I-Center on campus. The kids played around while I walked the perimeter.
I got all three girls running in one video
Brad went ice fishing with his dad and brother on New Year's Eve.
Tents were scattered around the lake.
When Brad told me about it
I couldn't help but think of the movie Grumpy Old Men.
Before they got the tent up they had to lay down and stick their heads to the hole in order to see the fish swimming below.
Happy New Year!
